The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) will provide routine Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care in a manner conducive to the comfort and safety of residents. The CNA will be responsible for performing person-centered care according to the care plan (profile) and carrying out assigned duties by the charge nurse. The role involves working in a healthcare/community environment and may include exposure to infectious conditions. The CNA must be able to move throughout the buildings and grounds, lift up to 40 pounds, and work under stressful conditions to meet resident/family needs and deadlines. Promoting resident independence and establishing an atmosphere of optimism, warmth, and interest in residents' needs are key aspects of the role.
