About The Position

Visiting Angels of Edmond is hiring a Live-In Certified Nurse Aide to support senior adults and home-care clients in the local area, including Blackwell, Edmond, Tonkawa, Perry, Stillwater, and Langston. The role helps clients remain at home or recover at home with dignity. Caregivers provide personal care, household assistance, companionship, and support with daily activities. They must also respond promptly to medical emergencies and report health changes or unusual circumstances.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent time-management skills.
Reliable transportation to client visits.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
Compassion for vulnerable people and interest in providing meaningful companionship.
Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Perform light housekeeping.
Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
Prompt clients to take prescription medications at the appropriate times.
Help clients shop and put away groceries, or shop on their behalf.
Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients, based on their abilities.
Assist clients with mobility and ambulation, including moving around the home, visiting the doctor, and taking walks.
Respond quickly to medical emergencies and report health changes or unusual circumstances.
