The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) under the supervision of an RN or LPN, performs basic patient care activities in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of the Department.

Requirements

• High School diploma preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of practice.
• BLS required.
• Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Provides care to Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, and Older Adult patient populations.
• Accesses Protected Health Information including Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, and Financial information, as well as the Complete Medical Record.
• Works with an occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
