About The Position

Canyon Vista Medical Center is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join their team. This role supports post-surgical patient care, assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a clean patient environment. The position is Monday-Friday with 8-hour shifts. Canyon Vista Medical Center is part of Lifepoint Health, a network committed to making communities healthier.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Arizona required
• BLS certification required
• Comfortable with frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hard/arm movements.
• Comfortable with regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma preferred
• Handle with Care certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN or LPN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements and recording intake and output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care; works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
