Under the supervision of an RN or LPN, performs basic patient care activities in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department. This role serves various patient populations including Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, and Older Adult. Employees may access Protected Health Information including Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, and Financial information, as well as the Complete Medical Record. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present. Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex, is expected.
