About The Position

We are hiring a dedicated, compassionate Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) to provide resident-focused, quality care for elder Franciscan sisters. Casual/per diem positions picking up 1st shift (6:00 am - 2:30 pm) and 3rd shift (nights 10:00 pm to 6:30 am) at our Buffalo convent home located on Doat Street/ Pine Ridge (near Cheektowaga). Willingness to work additional shifts (day, overnight) as needed. The hourly range for this position is $17.14 - $21.83 for Certified Nurse Aids. Wage will be determined based on factors such as CNA certification, the candidate's relevant work experience/qualifications, and internal equity. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Current or lapsed Certified Nurse Aide certification on file with the state in which the health services are located, preferred but not required.
  • Long-term resident care or home care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to elder Franciscan sisters including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, dining, transporting, and restorative care.
  • Document care for sisters as required.
  • Communicate with residents, family members, management, and staff to ensure resident quality care.
  • Assist and collaborate with the nursing staff with duties related to the ongoing needs of the residents according to established standards.
  • Work together with employees in all departments to support the religious life of sisters by contributing to providing a warm and caring convent environment.
  • Engage in quality interpersonal experiences with sisters and engage in meaningful interactions during the course of every day.
  • Maintain partnerships among all departments to achieve sister satisfaction and a thriving living and working environment.
