About The Position

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who excels in this role: Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output. It requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation. Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. Provides quality patient care; works flexible shifts or units as needed. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned. Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult. Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record. Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Oregon CNA License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Schedule: 3X12s Nights
