About The Position
Lyon Specialty Care is a 45-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Rock Rapids, Iowa. The Certified Nurse Aide supports residents with daily living, health monitoring, companionship, and activities while contributing to a clean and safe environment. The role is available full-time or part-time on nights. Care Initiatives describes its care team as serving more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate and interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that enhance residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
