About The Position
The Certified Nurse Aide will provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident assessments and care plans. This role involves assisting residents with daily requirements such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and monitoring their intake. The Certified Nurse Aide will also be responsible for measuring and recording vital signs, reporting any situations that may lead to resident accidents or injuries, and contributing knowledge of resident conditions to care plans. Additionally, they will observe and report any symptoms, reactions, or changes in resident conditions to the Charge Nurse.
Requirements
- Must hold valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license
- Must be at least 16 years of age
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Experience in a long-term care facility is preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist resident in customary daily requirements and tasks in care and treatment such as bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake of food, care of hair, nails, moving residents from area to area, responding to calls
- Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with resident care policy and procedure
- Measure and record vital signs as assigned by Charge Nurse
- Detect and report situations that may cause resident accidents or injuries
- Contributes knowledge of resident’s conditions/needs to resident care plans
- Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes of conditions to residents to Charge Nurse
