About The Position

We are hiring dedicated, compassionate Nurse Aides, CNAs, and Caregivers to provide resident-focused, quality care for elder Franciscan sisters. This is a part-time position on overnights (9:45 pm - 6:15 am) in a convent home environment in Enfield, CT. The schedule is 40+ hours every 2 weeks, with Week 1 including Sunday, Thursday, and Saturday, and Week 2 including Monday and Tuesday. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Current or lapsed Certified Nurse Aide certification on file with the state in which the health services are located is a PLUS but not required.
  • Long-term resident care or home care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care to elder Franciscan sisters including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, dining, transporting, and restorative care.
  • Documents care for sisters as required.
  • Communicates with residents, family members, management, and staff to ensure quality care for every sister.
  • Assists and collaborates with the nursing staff with duties related to the ongoing needs of the residents according to established standards.
  • Works together with employees in all departments to support the religious life of sisters by contributing to providing a warm and caring convent environment.
  • Engages in quality interpersonal experiences with sisters and engages in meaningful interactions during the course of every day.
  • Maintains partnerships among all departments to achieve sister satisfaction and a thriving living and working environment.
