Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Nurse Aide, part-time afternoons
About The Position
We are hiring dedicated, compassionate Nurse Aides, CNAs, and Caregivers to provide resident-focused, quality care for the elder Franciscan sisters. This is a part-time position on afternoons (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm) at our Buffalo convent home located on Doat Street/ Pine Ridge (near Cheektowaga). The schedule for Week 1 is Sunday, Thursday, Friday, and for Week 2 is Monday, Wednesday, Saturday. The hourly pay rate for this position is $16.00 - $21.00 for Nurse Aides and CNAs. Wages/pay rate will be determined based on factors such as CNA certification, the candidate's relevant work experience/qualifications, and internal equity. Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Current or lapsed Certified Nurse Aide certification on file with the state in which the health services are located is a PLUS but not required.
- Long-term resident care or home care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
- Provides direct care to elder Franciscan sisters including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, dining, transporting, and restorative care.
- Documents care for sisters as required.
- Communicates with residents, family members, management, and staff to ensure resident quality care.
- Assists and collaborates with the nursing staff with duties related to the ongoing needs of the residents according to established standards.
- Strives to support the religious life of sisters by contributing to providing a warm and caring convent environment.
- Engages in quality interpersonal experiences with sisters and engages in meaningful interactions during the course of every day.
- Maintains partnerships among all departments to achieve sister satisfaction and a thriving living and working environment.
