About The Position

PRN Home Health CNA (Certified Nurse Aide) Colorado Springs, CO | Pediatric & Adult Home Care Flexible PRN Visits – Work When You’re Available Up To $21/hr (DOE) We are seeking a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide in-home care visits throughout Colorado Springs, CO. This role is designed for flexibility—perfect for CNAs looking to pick up visits that fit around an existing schedule with no minimum caseload requirement. You choose the visits you want to accept based on your availability. Care is provided primarily to adult patients, with some pediatric cases as needed. Role Overview Under the direction and supervision of an RN or Nursing Supervisor, the CNA provides personal care and supportive services in the home setting to help patients maintain safety, independence, and quality of life. All care is provided in accordance with the established plan of care.

Requirements

  • Must have completed, previous to hire or within 4 months of hire, a Co Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) approved Certified Nurse Aide course
  • Must be free from health problems that may be injurious to consumer, self and co-workers and must present appropriate evidence to substantiate.
  • Must understand and respect consumer’s rights including ethics and confidentiality of care.
  • Must have current CPR certification.
  • Must have criminal check and is in good standing with DORA.

  • Preferably a high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care services in the home under RN supervision
  • Follow the plan of care to ensure safe, competent patient support
  • Assist with personal hygiene and maintaining a safe home environment
  • Help with meal preparation and basic nutrition tasks as directed
  • Assist with ambulation and mobility per care plan instructions
  • Support therapy staff with basic rehabilitative activities as needed
  • Encourage independence and participation in daily activities
  • Provide emotional and social support to patients and families
  • Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the RN or supervisor
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks related to patient safety and comfort
  • Document and submit visit reports in a timely manner
  • Coordinate scheduling of visits with the care team as needed
  • Attend required in-service training and education sessions
