About The Position

As a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in our Day Center and providing in-home care, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our participants receive the highest quality care. From assisting with daily activities to providing comfort and companionship, your work will make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve in Jackson, Lenawee and Hillsdale counties. This role involves regular travel between Jackson, Lenawee, and Hillsdale counties, providing Home-Based Care. Participate in after-hour on-call rotations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• A current and valid Michigan CNA Certification, required.
• CPR Certified or willing to obtain.
• The ability to read, write, understand, and follow directions.
• Physical ability to lift, stand, bend, transfer, stretch, walk, push, and pull as needed.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds frequently is required.

Nice To Haves

• Six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed CENA, preferred.
• Prior home care experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (ADLS) like bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Help participants enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for good health.
• Support mobility, including turning, positioning, and safe transfers.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.
• Keep rooms tidy, cozy, and well-stocked with essentials.
• Respond with kindness and compassion.
• Report any changes in conditions to the leadership ASAP.
• Maintain confidentiality while delivering top-notch care.
• Participate in after-hour on-call rotations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Be available for evening and weekend shifts as part of the rotation.
