About The Position

Sprenger Health Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide to provide care and support to patients, promote their well-being, and ensure their comfort. The role includes helping patients with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The position is part-time or PRN at SHC of Port Royal in Port Royal, South Carolina, and requires South Carolina certification. The wage is competitive and based on experience. Sprenger Health Care is a third-generation developer, owner, and operator of senior living communities and services in Ohio and South Carolina, providing nursing care, assisted and independent living, memory care, hospice, home care, respite care, and short-term post-acute rehabilitation.

Requirements

Valid certification as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA); the role requires South Carolina certification.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Compassionate and empathetic nature.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
Support patient mobility and ensure safety during transfers.
Provide patients with emotional support and companionship.
Follow established care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals.
Maintain a clean and organized patient environment and perform regular infection-control measures.
Document patient observations, activities, and changes in condition.
Communicate with patients and their families, explain care instructions, and answer questions.
Follow relevant health and safety regulations and protocols.
