About The Position

Excell Private Care Services is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide supportive household services and personal care to clients in their homes. This role involves traveling to clients' homes, assisting with daily living activities, documenting observations, and maintaining excellent customer service standards. The position requires effective communication with scheduling coordinators and clients, including those with hearing or language impairments, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Requirements

  • Must have telephone and dependable transportation.
  • Demonstrates reliability in work attendance by being on time to client visits.

  • Must obtain current certification as a CNA or CHHA.
  • Driver’s License
  • CNA or CHHA certification

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a PCA/CNA/CHHA preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Traveling to and from clients’ homes.
  • Providing supportive household services that may include light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, preparing meals (sometimes for medically prescribed diets etc. that are outlined in the member’s written plan of care.
  • Documenting observations and activities.
  • Performing care and services with minimal or no client/family complaints.
  • Assisting clients with personal care as directed by their written plan of care. These tasks may include bathing, dressing, or grooming.
  • Taking oral and written instructions.
  • Communicating effectively (written and verbal) with scheduling coordinators regarding dates and times of shifts as well as the health of members while maintaining HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
  • Communicating effectively with members that are hard of hearing, linguistically impaired, and/or emotionally distraught. This may require the use of assistive devices.
