About The Position
The Certified Medication Technician (CMT) assists with administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician and under the direction of the department director. Medication administration must comply with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the Community, as well as direction from the department director or supervisor, to help maintain the highest degree of quality care. The role advances the value that the resident comes first. The employee recognizes the Community as the residents’ home, works to create attributes of home, and models person-centered care.
Requirements
- Must hold a current Certified Medication Aide certificate in accordance with state laws.
- Must understand terminology used in medication administration.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of previous long-term care experience is desired.
