Certified Medication Aide - Neilson Place - Full Time Days
About The Position
Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This role involves administering and documenting various medications including inhalers, eye drops, ear drops, oral, rectal, and topical medications under the supervision of the Charge Nurse. The Certified Medication Aide will also assist in meeting the residents' comprehensive needs (physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social) under the guidance and teaching of the Charge Nurse.
Requirements
- Must be registered with the Minnesota Department of Health as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Must have successfully completed the 48-hour approved Minnesota Trained Medication Assistant Course.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or ability to become certified within six months of hire date.
- Board of Nursing approved Trained Medication Aide (TMA) training in state of practice required.
Responsibilities
- Administer and document inhalers, eye drops, ear drops, oral, rectal, and topical medications under the supervision and guidelines of the Charge Nurse.
- Assist in providing for the residents' physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social needs under the supervision, guidance, and teaching of the Charge Nurse.
