PRN CERTIFIED MEDICATION AIDE (CMA)

About The Position
Priority Management Group seeks a Certified Medication Aide to provide care and support to residents at Ridgecrest Retirement and Healthcare Community in Waco, Texas. The role involves administering and documenting medications, monitoring residents’ responses, recording vital signs and intake and output, and responding to residents’ needs. The position is PRN, with any shift listed.
Requirements
- Hold a current, valid CNA certification in good standing.
- Hold a current Medication Aide certification in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Verify the identity of residents receiving medication and document the medication name, dosage, and administration time on specified forms or records.
- Present medication to residents and observe ingestion or other application, or administer medication according to specified procedures.
- Take vital signs or observe residents for responses to medications, and prepare a report or notify designated personnel about unexpected reactions.
- Take and record temperatures, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output as directed.
- Answer signal lights, bells, or the intercom system to determine residents’ needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
