Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Current NJDOHSS-approved Medication Aide certification
- Current and active New Jersey CNA certification
- Must be able to produce a negative drug test
- Must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living
Responsibilities
- Give residents their medications safely and on schedule, following state rules and RN guidance
- Check blood sugar and give insulin when a resident's care plan calls for it
- Observe how residents respond to their medications and document it accurately
- Answer questions from residents and families, and report any concerns to the nurse promptly
- Receive and store incoming pharmacy orders
