About The Position
Crestview Specialty Care, a 65-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in West Branch, Iowa, is hiring a Certified Medication Aide for evening shifts. The role supports residents with daily living activities and medication administration, provides emotional support and companionship, monitors residents’ health, and helps create a safe, positive, and engaging environment. Full-time and part-time schedules are available. Care Initiatives operates more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. Requirements
- Hold an active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or have the ability to activate the certification.
- Hold a valid Medication Aide certification in Iowa, or have the ability to activate the certification.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Have a compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and passing medications.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Monitor residents’ health and conduct routine vital checks.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
