About The Position

Kidron Bethel Village is looking for a full-time Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team! The CMA cooperates with co-workers and follows directions given by licensed nurses.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • Must be a Certified Medication Aide in Kansas.

Responsibilities

  • Assures residents’ privacy and dignity while providing care by identifying residents before providing care in accordance with their NSA and addressing residents by their name of choice.
  • Interacts with residents in a warm, personal manner and provides a calm environment by providing opportunities for residents to talk and listening attentively, warmly greeting residents upon admission, and introducing new residents to staff and other residents as appropriate.
  • Assures the residents are clean and comfortable at all times by assisting residents in feeding, dressing, and toileting as necessary.
  • Assists residents in ambulating and transferring as necessary, including applying adaptive equipment according to NSA, and assisting residents to activities and meals in a timely manner.
  • Provides nursing care for residents within the scope of training and as directed by licensed nurses, including applying dressings and treatments, assisting lab personnel, and taking vital signs.
  • Provides nutrition and hydration to promote the well-being of residents by assisting in preparing and serving food trays and snacks as needed.
  • Communicates residents’ care needs with peers and supervisors by obtaining pertinent information regarding residents’ care at the start of the shift, being knowledgeable of NSA for each resident, and promptly reporting changes in residents’ conditions to a licensed nurse.
  • Observes and records residents’ conditions and/or any incidents or accidents in accordance with federal, state, and facility policies, and assists in completing incident and accident forms.
  • Assists in maintaining an organized and clean area for residents and co-workers by providing laundry service per schedule, performing housecleaning duties as directed, and maintaining a clean and organized work area and equipment.
  • Observes all infection control policies according to federal, state, and facility policies.
  • Assists in the admission process as directed by licensed nurses.
