About The Position

Iris Memory Care of Edmond is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join their evening team, working from 11pm to 7am. This full-time position is for a freestanding memory care assisted living community with 40 residents, specializing in Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. The role involves providing compassionate, hands-on care to residents, administering medications, assisting with daily living activities, supporting life enrichment programs, maintaining a clean environment, and monitoring resident well-being, all while upholding resident dignity and individuality.

Requirements

  • Active listing on the Oklahoma Nurse Aide Registry (required)
  • Current Certified Medication Aide certification (required)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Genuine warmth, patience, and compassion for those living with memory loss
  • Reliable work history — consistency matters deeply to our residents
  • Ability to meet continuing education and certification requirements for your position

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one year of experience working with older adults preferred
  • Experience in memory care or with dementia residents strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications accurately and in accordance with physician orders and community protocols
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal care, dining, and mobility
  • Support residents with life enrichment activities and social-recreational programming
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a clean, comfortable, home-like environment
  • Monitor and document vital signs and monthly weights
  • Offer emotional and physical comfort and support to residents and families
  • Uphold each resident’s dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality at all times
