About The Position

Iris Memory Care of Edmond is looking for a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join their evening team. This role provides hands-on, compassionate care to residents living with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, helping them live with dignity, comfort, and joy. The community is a freestanding memory care assisted living facility with 40 residents, offering an intimate environment where team members know each resident well. As an age-in-place community, the CMA will care for residents across the full spectrum of dementia-related diseases.

Requirements

• Active listing on the Oklahoma Nurse Aide Registry (required)
• Current Certified Medication Aide certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 18 years of age
• Reliable work history — consistency matters deeply to our residents
• Ability to meet continuing education and certification requirements for your position

Nice To Haves

• Minimum one year of experience working with older adults preferred
• Experience in memory care or with dementia residents strongly preferred
• Genuine warmth, patience, and compassion for those living with memory loss

Responsibilities

• Administer medications accurately and in accordance with physician orders and community protocols
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal care, dining, and mobility
• Support residents with life enrichment activities and social-recreational programming
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a clean, comfortable, home-like environment
• Monitor and document vital signs and monthly weights
• Offer emotional and physical comfort and support to residents and families
• Uphold each resident’s dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality at all times
