About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of patient laboratory test results. The Certified Medical Laboratory Technician will maintain the quality of test results by following defined Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, and ensure safety and compliance. This role requires maintaining appropriate education to accomplish work objectives and keep current certifications. The technician will also ensure productive and efficient operations of their section and the department, adhering to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment through effective communication, interpersonal relationships, and team building.

Requirements

• MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred.
• Previous experience as a Medical Lab Technician preferred.
• Successful completion of a NAACLS approved Medical Technician program preferred.
