About The Position

Greenville Pediatric Services is seeking a part-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join their team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and families, values teamwork, and is looking for a rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced pediatric practice. The CMA will work alongside providers to deliver exceptional pediatric care, room patients, obtain vital signs, assist during examinations, administer treatments, prepare exam rooms, provide patient education, document information in the electronic medical record, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with staff to ensure an excellent patient experience.

Requirements

Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or eligibility to sit for the CMA certification exam
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a busy pediatric office
A positive attitude and a genuine passion for caring for children and their families

Nice To Haves

Previous pediatric experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
Assisting providers during examinations and procedures
Administering immunizations and other clinical treatments within your scope of practice
Preparing and stocking exam rooms to ensure they're clean, organized, and ready for patients
Providing patient education and support as needed
Accurately documenting patient information in the electronic medical record
Maintaining patient confidentiality and following all HIPAA guidelines
Working collaboratively with providers and other clinical staff to ensure an excellent patient experience
