About The Position

Ascension Medical Group Clinic is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for their Wellness Preventative Care department in Indianapolis, IN. This role involves assisting providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures, maintaining sterile and organized treatment rooms, and streamlining clinic workflow by interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and accurately recording medical histories. The Medical Assistant will also transcribe provider orders for labs, imaging, and prescriptions, ensuring accurate documentation of diagnoses and follow-up instructions. Additionally, the role includes managing essential administrative duties such as medical record maintenance, clerical support, and inventory management.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified or Registered both accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
MA Certification
1 year physician office experience
Phlebotomy experience

Responsibilities

Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures while maintaining sterile and organized treatment rooms.
Streamline clinic workflow by interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and accurately recording medical histories in patient charts.
Transcribe provider orders for labs, imaging, and prescriptions, ensuring all diagnoses and follow-up instructions are documented with high precision.
Manage essential administrative duties, including medical record maintenance, clerical support, and inventory management to ensure seamless clinic daily operations.
Willing to travel between two wellness sites: Zionsville Wellness Center and Heritage Wellness Center.
