About The Position

Ascension Sacred Heart Medical Group Neurology Support is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join their team in Pensacola, FL. This full-time, day shift position involves welcoming and interviewing patients, accurately measuring and documenting vital signs, and preparing examination rooms. The role also includes assisting with treatments under provider supervision, performing clinical duties, and providing administrative support such as managing patient records, answering calls, and handling charting. A key responsibility is documenting provider-patient encounters, including diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions, as well as transcribing patient orders for labs, testing, and medications.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
