BHMG Rheumatology in Alabaster is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) to join their team in a collaborative, patient-focused medical office. Requirements

CCMA Certification required (or equivalent nationally recognized certification)
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient service skills

Nice To Haves

No experience needed, willing to train.
Medical Assistant training from an accredited program preferred

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician or advanced practice provider (APP)
Prepare patients for exams and assist during procedures
Collect and document patient information, treatments, and education in the EMR
Administer medications and perform routine clinical tasks as directed
Coordinate patient care, scheduling, and follow-up services
Communicate professionally with patients, families, and team members
Support a team-based environment and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
