About The Position
Sentara Nephrology is currently hiring a Certified Medical Assistant in Harrisonburg, VA! The CERTIFIED Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional shift rotation. The role involves floating between Nephrology and GI practices located in the same building, with the work being onsite at the Lorton practice.
Requirements
- Less than a year of related experience required.
- High School Diploma OR equivalency required.
- Must have one of the following on the first day of employment: Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified EMT (EMT-B).
- BLS within 90 days of hire date.
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy experience highly preferred.
