About The Position

This role is for a Certified Medical Assistant in the Internal Medicine department at an Ascension Medical Group Clinic in Indianapolis, IN. The schedule is Monday through Friday, ending at 5 pm. The primary responsibilities include performing high-volume venipuncture and capillary punctures, capturing vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for specimen collection, transcribing provider orders for labs, managing specimen labeling and processing, EMR documentation, and overseeing lab inventory and clinical supplies to ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified or Registered both accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Phlebotomy experience preferred
