About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Certified Medical Assistant in Nephrology Services. The schedule is 1st shift, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, with a rotating Friday schedule.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED required
• Successful completion of an accredited medical assisting education program (CAAHEP, ABHES, or recognized by US Dept. of Education)
• Completion of a Career and Technical Education Health Sciences Program approved by the South Carolina Department of Education
• Completion of a medical assisting program provided by a branch of the United States military
• Completion of a medical assisting United States Department of Labor-approved Registered Apprenticeship program
• Completion of a training program delivered by a health care employer that aligns to a nationally accredited certification exam (must be completed within 90-day probationary period)
• Post high school/medical studies with certifications as Medical Assistant (AAMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (AMT), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMMA) required
• Must obtain certification within 3 months of hire
• Must hold and maintain active certification or registry in medical assisting
