About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Nephrology Services team. This is a full-time position with a 1st shift schedule, working Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with a rotating Friday schedule.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED required
• Successful completion of at least one of the following: a medical assisting education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.
• A Career and Technical Education Health Sciences Program approved by the South Carolina Department of Education
• A medical assisting program provided by a branch of the United States military
• A medical assisting United States Department of Labor-approved Registered Apprenticeship program
• A training program that is delivered, in whole or in part, by a health care employer that aligns to a nationally accredited certification exam. (Must be completed within 90 day probationary period)
• Post high school/medical studies with certifications as Medical Assistant (AAMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (AMT), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMMA) required
• Must obtain certification within 3 months of hire required
• Must hold and maintain active certification or registry in medical assisting required
