About The Position

Western NC Community Health Services (WNCCHS) is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join their team at the Minnie Jones Health Center in Asheville, NC. WNCCHS is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to serving underserved populations with purpose and integrity. This role involves assisting healthcare professionals in providing patient care within a clinic setting that operates Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 6 pm. Medical Assistants providing direct patient care have the opportunity to earn a quarterly bonus of up to $500 based on quality and productivity measures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Certification as a Medical Assistant, required
Current Basic Life Support Certificate, required
Experience documenting patient care in an electronic health record
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well in a team
Ability to maintain confidentiality

Nice To Haves

One year experience as Medical Assistant in an outpatient health care setting
Bilingual English/Spanish

Responsibilities
