About The Position
Sentara Medical Group is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Certified Medical Assistant for SMG Clinical Administration. All qualified candidates can receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus! Perform patient care related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Perform administrative duties, as appropriate. Sentara Independence provides quality outpatient services to the surrounding community. The facility includes an ambulance-accessible emergency room that is supported by board-certified physicians. Sentara Independence houses state-of-the-art medical equipment and highly-skilled physicians and staff. Sentara Independence is now an extension of the quality services at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital including advanced imaging and physical therapy. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (Required)
- BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
- One year of clinical or administrative experience
Nice To Haves
- One year experience in a healthcare setting preferred
