Works under general supervision of physician and/or APP to provide clinical support to physicians and APPs in delivery of patient clinical care and administrative support. The role involves opening the clinic, maintaining patient flow, answering calls, processing prescriptions, preparing patients for exams, cleaning and stocking exam rooms, preparing specimens, administering injections, drawing blood, sterilizing instruments, performing catheterization, documenting patient information in EHR, completing reports, managing CLIA and OSHA requirements, maintaining medical supplies, processing prior authorizations and other necessary paperwork, performing chart take-down, and scheduling surgeries. The position requires a basic understanding of urology-related terminology, medications, procedures, and instruments, along with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. A professional appearance and demeanor are expected, with scrubs as the required work attire. The ability to multitask, pay close attention to detail, and perform various clinical tasks such as specimen collection, vital signs, urinalysis, catheterization, and instrument sterilization is essential. Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR/PM and Document Management Systems are also required.
