About The Position

They are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join their busy, well-established Family Practice. This role involves direct patient care, focusing on both acute and chronic medical conditions for patients ranging from birth and up. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Certified/Registered Medical Assistant certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification must be completed within 30 days of hire and maintained.
  • CMA or RMA or CCMA via the AAMA or NHA.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Associates degree preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Past experience in the medical field is preferred.
  • Working as a medical assistant in a physician’s office is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the direct care of patients.
  • Preparation and information documentation for the patient’s visit including obtaining vitals, medical history and other pertinent information from the patient.
  • Prepares exam rooms for patients.
  • May assist with procedures as directed by the Provider.
  • Assists with collection of lab samples.
