This role coordinates patient care with the physician, assists with assessments, administers medications per physician orders, and handles administrative duties to support patient care. Responsibilities span clinical support, including patient intake, vital signs, assisting physicians, performing diagnostic tests like Spirometry, preparing and maintaining medical equipment, patient education, documentation, prescription management, allergy testing and injections, monitoring patient reactions, maintaining emergency equipment, and handling patient-related phone calls. The role also involves obtaining referrals and insurance authorizations, managing clinical supplies and medication samples, and ensuring patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and practice guidelines. Additionally, it requires proficiency in practice management software, attendance at required training sessions (CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, OIG), participation in meetings, and completion of assigned AP training within specified timeframes. Adherence to Allergy Partners policies and reporting of violations are also key aspects of the role.
