Requirements

  • Experience working in a procedural setting.
  • Comfortable with a dynamic setting and varied tasks.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of tasks.
  • Able to understand what's going on with the team and pitch in wherever needed.
  • Valid and Current Medical Assistant Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with outpatient interventional radiology procedures in an office setting.
  • Perform minimally invasive procedures on awake patients with fluoro imaging.
  • Conduct standard pre-op checks/questions.
  • Monitor patients in post-op for approximately 30 minutes.
  • Rotate between pre-op/post-op duties and procedure room duties.
  • Share workload with a small team to achieve shared goals of excellent patient care and efficient procedures.
  • Contribute to constant improvement in all aspects of the job.
  • Chart patient information.
  • Check patient vitals.
  • Communicate with patients.
  • Open sterile supplies in the procedure room.
  • Adapt to changing tasks and needs of the situation.
  • Take ownership of tasks.
  • Understand team dynamics and contribute where needed.
