Requirements

• Experience working in a procedural setting.
• Comfortable with a dynamic setting and varied tasks.
• Valid and Current Medical Assistant Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with outpatient interventional radiology procedures.
• Performing standard pre-op checks/questions.
• Assisting in the procedure room during a 1-2 hour procedure.
• Monitoring patients in post-op for about 30 minutes.
• Rotating between pre-op/post-op and procedure room positions.
• Charting.
• Checking vitals.
• Talking with patients.
• Opening sterile supplies in the procedure room.
• Keeping up with changing tasks and needs of the situation.
• Taking ownership of tasks.
• Understanding team dynamics and pitching in wherever needed.
