About The Position

Ascension Medical Group Clinic in Fishers, IN is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for their Primary Care department. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 am to 4:30 pm, and Tuesday from 9 am to 12 pm. This role involves assisting providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures, maintaining sterile and organized treatment rooms, streamlining clinic workflow by interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and accurately recording medical histories. The Medical Assistant will also transcribe provider orders for labs, imaging, and prescriptions, ensuring all diagnoses and follow-up instructions are documented with high precision. Additionally, the role includes managing essential administrative duties such as medical record maintenance, clerical support, and inventory management to ensure seamless clinic daily operations.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified or Registered both accepted.
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
