About The Position

We are hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for our General Surgery department at St. Agnes Healthcare in Columbia, MD. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role involves direct patient support, assisting providers with examinations, measuring vital signs, and executing ordered treatments and procedures. You will also be responsible for preparing treatment rooms, maintaining a clean environment, managing basic materials ordering and stocking, interviewing patients for medical history, charting information, and transcribing provider orders. Additionally, you will handle clerical duties such as answering calls and maintaining organized patient records.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Any issuing authority is accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
