This role assists in providing clinical care to office patients under the delegation of a supervising provider. The Certified Medical Assistant will manage the provider's daily schedule and patient flow to ensure efficient care and maximize clinical time. Responsibilities include greeting and escorting patients, taking vital signs, accurately inputting clinical information into the electronic health record, and assisting clinicians with procedures. The role also involves preparing and maintaining exam rooms, managing inventory of medical supplies and equipment, and administering routine injections under supervision. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will participate in practice meetings and trainings, stay current with community resources, and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with CCHC and HIPAA. Clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, registering patients, scanning documents, preparing medical records, answering phones, and faxing are also part of the role. The position may require floating to other MACC practices and performing other assigned duties.
