This role coordinates patient care with the physician, assists with assessments, administers medications as per physician orders, and handles administrative duties to support patient care. The Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for greeting patients, preparing them for exams, taking vital signs, assisting the physician, performing diagnostic tests like Spirometry, preparing and maintaining medical equipment, patient education, documenting in medical records, calling in prescriptions, performing allergy testing and administering injections, monitoring patients post-injection, maintaining emergency equipment, and handling patient-related phone calls. Additionally, the role involves obtaining referrals and insurance authorizations, managing clinical supplies and medication samples, maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, utilizing practice management software, attending required training (CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, OIG), participating in meetings, and completing assigned training within deadlines. The position also requires adherence to company policies and reporting any violations.
