About The Position

We are hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for our FCA Clinic at Wellness Preventative Care in Kokomo, IN. This PRN position requires willingness to travel to different clinic locations. The role involves assisting providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures, maintaining sterile and organized treatment rooms, streamlining clinic workflow by interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and accurately recording medical histories. You will also transcribe provider orders for labs, imaging, and prescriptions, ensuring all diagnoses and follow-up instructions are documented with high precision. Additionally, you will manage essential administrative duties, including medical record maintenance, clerical support, and inventory management to ensure seamless clinic daily operations.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified or Registered both accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
