About The Position

Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant. This role involves delivering care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process. Key functions include patient check out, surgery scheduling, and post-operative calls. The position also requires communicating with patients regarding test results and care plans as directed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and privacy. There may be opportunities to work in the front office as needed and perform other duties assigned by management or healthcare providers.

Requirements

High School Diploma (REQUIRED)
Valid Certification as a Medical Assistant (REQUIRED)

Nice To Haves

One year of experience as a CMA (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
ACLS or BCLS upon hire (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
At least 6 months of Surgical Scheduling experience, Front Office experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
Knowledge of prior authorizations and referrals (PREFERRED)
Strong knowledge of Insurance Benefits (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
Bilingual - English/Spanish (STRONGLY PREFERRED)

Responsibilities

Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
May work in the front office as needed
May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s)
