About The Position

This medical office position provides direct nursing care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician. The Certified Medical Assistant assists medical providers and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the practice’s policies and procedures. The role also provides essential assistance and comfort to patients throughout their healthcare experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• Medical Assistant certification.
• AHA BLS certification.

• One year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing patient needs and health plans.
• Complete necessary documentation in patients’ medical records in accordance with the practice’s charting policy.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians with medical treatments, examinations, and procedures.
• Arrange specialized consultations and testing appointments as ordered by physicians.
• Assist medical providers and maintain a clean and safe medical office environment.
