About The Position
A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to support a busy outpatient cardiovascular clinic. This role requires a strong combination of clinical and clerical skills, excellent patient communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced physician practice environment.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of recent Medical Assistant experience required
- Experience with vital signs, triage calls, EKGs, Holter Monitors, Event Monitors, and assisting physicians required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Current AHA BLS Certification required
- One of the following certifications required: CMA (NHA), CMA (NCCT), CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), RMA (NAHP), AMCA NCMA
- Strong computer, EMR, and data entry skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms, supplies, and medical instruments
- Room patients and assist providers during examinations and procedures
- Obtain and accurately document vital signs in EMR systems
- Perform EKGs, Holter Monitor setup, Event Monitor setup, and patient triage calls
- Assist with patient intake, chart preparation, and clinical documentation
- Support physicians with patient care coordination and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation compliance
- Perform administrative and front-office support duties as needed
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality
- Deliver high-quality patient care and customer service
