About The Position

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our medical team with various clinical and administrative tasks. Your commitment to patient-centered care and attention to detail will ensure a smooth experience for patients and staff alike. This is a unique opportunity within a concierge practice where you will see fewer patients (7-10 per day) compared to traditional settings, allowing for more meaningful patient interactions and the ability to practice at the top of your scope. The role involves building relationships with a select patient panel, conducting thorough assessments, collaborating with the physician, coordinating advanced testing, managing electronic health records (EHR), coordinating care plans, and serving as a primary point of contact for patients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Two years of related medical experience (EKG, injections, vitals, triage, etc.)
  • Two years of knowledge in examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures
  • Two years of knowledge in medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
  • Two years of OSHA and HIPAA compliance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a clinical setting, particularly in outpatient practices.
  • Familiarity with specific EMR systems (e.g., EPIC, Athena).
  • Experience with patient education and health promotion.

Responsibilities

  • Build meaningful relationships with a select patient panel.
  • Conduct thorough intake and clinical assessments without rushing.
  • Work closely with our physician in a true collaborative partnership during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable and efficient environment.
  • Assist with and coordinate advanced diagnostic and preventive testing.
  • Manage patient records by accurately inputting information into electronic health records (EHR) and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Coordinate comprehensive care plans and follow up with patients personally.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact, responding to patient needs with care and attention.
  • Apply expanded clinical skills in a thoughtful, patient-centered environment.
