About The Position
We are offering up to a $1,000 hiring bonus for full-time Medical Assistants. This role involves both clinical and administrative duties within a Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Office. The work hours are Monday through Friday during daylight hours, with no weekend or major holiday work required.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA).
- CPR Certification.
- Computer experience.
- Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant diploma or degree program.
- Minimum of one year medical assisting experience.
- Proficient in venipuncture.
Responsibilities
- Rooms patients, collects vital signs, reviews patient medication list and patient medical/social history.
- Collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests.
- Administers injections and medications as directed by provider.
- Performs other clinical tasks.
- Orders supplies.
- Updates/maintains medical records.
- Obtains referrals/authorizations.
- Schedules appointments.
