About The Position

We are offering up to a $1,000 hiring bonus for full-time Medical Assistants. This role is located at the Heart and Vascular Center Electrophysiology Department at 605 Sharon Road, Beaver, PA 15009. The work hours are Monday - Friday daylight, with no weekends or holidays. The position involves patient rooming, collecting vital signs, reviewing patient medication lists and medical/social history, collecting specimens, performing basic laboratory tests, and administering injections and medications as directed by a provider. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations, and scheduling appointments.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA)
• CPR Certification
• Computer experience
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant diploma or degree program
• Minimum of one year medical assisting experience
• Proficient in venipuncture
